A QA/QC instrument engineer is responsible for ensuring that the instruments used in a laboratory or production environment meet scientific and engineering standards. This may involve conducting inspections, testing, calibrating equipment, and issuing corrective actions when necessary. Instrument engineers also work to develop new technologies and improve existing ones.
1. A degree in engineering or a related field is required.
2. Experience with instrumentation and quality control systems is preferred.
3. Knowledge of technical writing, software testing, and other computer-related disciplines is also desirable.
4. Excellent problem solving skills are essential for the position as it involves working on complex projects from start to finish.*
