What is a QC Engineer?

A QC Engineer is responsible for the quality of products that are produced by a company. They ensure that all manufacturing processes and procedures meet required standards, ensuring customer satisfaction. A QC engineer typically has extensive knowledge in various engineering disciplines such as metrology, geometry, quality control systems and material science.

What qualifications are required to become a QC Engineer?

1. A Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field is required.

2. Five years of experience as an engineer, with at least two years working in QC disciplines are necessary.

3. An understanding of physics and mathematics is beneficial, but not mandatory for the position of QC Engineer.

4. Certification from the American Society for Quality (ASQ) or another quality certification body is highly desirable; however, it is not a requirement to hold certification to be accepted into the profession of QC Engineer .

5. Excellent problem solving abilities and excellent communication skills are essential qualities for success as a QC Engineer
