Quantity surveyors also often provide advice on best practices when it comes to planning and executing constructionprojects.
A Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field is typically required. In addition, many employers require candidates to pass the Professional Registration Exam (PRE), which assesses an individual's technical knowledge in quantity surveying. Other qualifications include excellent problem-solving skills and proficiency with computers and software programs used in the profession.
