A Registered Nurse is a healthcare professional who has completed an accredited nursing program and passed the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLE). They typically work in hospitals, long-term care facilities, or private practice. Registered Nurses are responsible for providing comprehensive patient care utilizing their knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pharmacology and disease management.
1. To become a Registered Nurse, you must have an associate degree or higher in nursing from a accredited school.
2. You must also pass the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX-RN).
3. After passing the NCLEX-RN, you will need to complete additional requirements such as completing 12 months of clinical experience and obtaining a Master's degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
4. Finally, once all requirements are met, you can apply for registration with the state board of nurses
