What is a Registered Nurse?

A Registered Nurse is a licensed professional who has completed an accredited nursing program and passed the National Council Licensure Examination for Nurses. They work in hospitals, long-term care facilities, home health agencies, schools, Veterans Affairs Administration (VA) medical centers and other healthcare settings.
