A rope access technician is a person who specializes in safely accessing elevated structures, such as buildings and bridges. They typically use ropes to ascend or descend these locations, making them an important part of emergency response teams. Rope access technicians are also often called into action during natural disasters when there is a need to help evacuate people from high-rise buildings or stranded cars.
1. A certification in Rope Access Technician from an accredited organization is required to become a rope access technician.
2. Knowledge of rigging, climbing techniques, and safe working with ropes are essential qualifications for this position.
3. Experience using ropes in a variety of settings is also beneficial as being able to safely complete tasks quickly can be critical when responding to emergencies or accidents scenes.
4. Excellent communication skills are necessary as rope access technicians often work closely with other emergency responders including firefighters and paramedics so they must have the ability to effectively communicate instructions during incidents or rescue efforts .
5.. Being physically fit enoughto scale ladders and climb up tight spaces while wearing safety gear is also important as many rope access scenarios require these types of rescues

The Job Opportunity The supervision of the Customer Service Representative team to ensure the safe delivery of a reliable, world class façade cleaning and BMU operations. Key accountabilities • Supervision and control of façade cleaners’ movements and ensuring they adhere to predetermined schedules. Able to assess and implement changes to minimise delays or disruptions. • Lead by example, a team of Customer Service Representatives in the provision of a safe, reliable, world class customer focused service • Liaise with Maintenance Team to ensure availability of façade cleaners. • Report incidents, failures or events that impact on safety or service performance to the line manager. • Inform the line manager of any operating conditions that deviate from normal conditions • Manage and modify, when required, the schedule timeframe to cater for unexpected events • Assist the Line manager in the co-ordination and monitoring of Rope Access and BMU work requirements What we are looking for in our candidates • A mature proactive and responsible approach to work with initiative and problem-solving capability • Good literacy, numerical and analytical skills • Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks safely and efficiently • Strong organisational skills Specific requirements • Ideally a degree holder or higher diploma of post-secondary education in a related discipline • Understanding of façade cleaning operation controls such as staff supervision, train regulation, manual route setting • Understanding of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook • Ability to liaise in a professional manner with staff at all levels within the organisation • Ideally holder of a UAE driving licence • Minimum 3 years’ experience of front-line customer service façade cleaning operations role.
