What is a Steel Welder?

A steel welder is someone who uses welding techniques to join metal pieces together. They use a variety of tools and equipment to do this, including an arc welder, MIG welder, TIG Welder and plasma cutter.

What qualifications are required to become a Steel Welder?

1. A degree in welding or a related field is required.

2. Experience as a welder is preferred, but not necessary.

3. Certification through the American Welding Society (AWS) or similar organization is recommended, but not mandatory for most jobs unless specified by an employer.

4. Good hand-eye coordination and stamina are essential qualities for a successful steelwelder; many also have experience using tools such as plasma cutters and torches with little finesse needed to control them properly..
