What is a Structure Welder?

A structure welder is someone who welds metal structures, such as bridges and buildings. They use a variety of welding techniques to join different pieces of metal together.

What qualifications are required to become a Structure Welder?

1. A minimum of two years welding experience is required to become a structure welder.

2. Structural Welding certification from an accredited trade organization such as the American Welding Society (AWS) or Canadian Welders Association (CWA) is generally necessary for most employers.
