What is a Tig & Arc Welder?

A Tig & Arc Welder is a machine that uses electricity to join two pieces of metal together. The welding process starts by heating one piece of metal until it's hot enough to melt, then the welder passes an arc across the joint. This high-voltage current causes the molten metal to form a bond with the other piece, creating a secure connection.

What qualifications are required to become a Tig & Arc Welder?

1. Skill in welding metal using a Tig & Arc welder

2. Knowledge of safety guidelines and practices when working with this equipment

3. Experience fabricating or repairing heavy metals structures such as tanks, ships, bridges etc

4. Ability to read blueprints or schematics for the structure being welded and be able to visualize how the Welding will look on that particular piece of steel

5. Must have good hand-eye coordination

What are the skills required to become a Tig & Arc Welder?

1. The ability to read and understand blueprints or diagrams of equipment, structures or pieces that need repair/upgrade

2. Experience using a welding torch and an arc welder

3. Good hand-eye coordination when performing tasks such as lining up the weld while keeping the work area clean

4. Ability to make quick decisions in order to get the job done efficiently

5. Strong focus and attention span
