What is a Welding QC?

A welding QC is a Quality Control inspector who ensures that welds created during construction meet the required standards. They inspect joints to ensure they are smooth, free of defects, and properly aligned. Welding qc inspectors may also check for proper heat penetration into the metal being joined, as well as checking for gas leaks from the joint

What qualifications are required to become a Welding QC?

1. Must have a welding certification

2. Experience in QC or quality assurance for welds

3. Knowledge of metallurgy and steel production processes

4. Familiarity with welding codes and standards

5. Ability to work independently

What are the skills required to become a Welding QC?

1. Knowledge of Welder's Safety Standards

2. Experience with welding and fabrication processes
