What is a Welding QC?

1. A Welding QC is a quality assurance professional who ensures that welding procedures are performed in a safe and effective manner. They may inspect welds for defects, verify the correct use of equipment, or test weldments to ensure they meet specified criteria.

2. Welding QCs typically have certification from organizations such as American Welding Society (AWS), Canadian Welder’s Association (CWA), International Organization for Standardization (ISO) etc..

3. The main responsibilities of a welding QC include conducting inspections, verifying process parameters and results; providing feedback on improvement opportunities; maintaining established standards and practices within their organization/industry; training technicians.; educating customers about safety issues related to welding workmanship.; developing management systems where applicable

What qualifications are required to become a Welding QC?
