The role of the Kitchen Helper is to assist the brigade of Chefs in the Kitchen by preparing some of the basic food items for service, ensuring the kitchen is kept clean at all times, cleaning kitchen utensils and equipment, stocking the food items and ensuring the overall kitchen area is kept clean, hygienic and is of the highest standards at all times.
Cook assistants are responsible for preparing ingredients prior to meal service, such as chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or cleaning seafood. They also assist the head chef in cooking dishes according to set recipes.
