Job Description

Minimum Qualifications:  Diploma Certificate from an approved ship building apprenticeship program in Rigging trade or equivalent qualification.  Minimum Experience:  3 years of experience in rigging in a similar industry. Job-Specific Knowledge & Skills:  Knowledge of ships (i.e. performance, stability, technical drawings, technical specifications, etc.)  Knowledge of ship building materials (quality, grade etc.)  Ability to interpret drawings to Rigging system in workshop  Knowledge of Rigging system  Knowledge of quality/control procedures  Ability to read and understand mechanical and electrical drawings and technical manuals.  Knowledge of shipboard machinery, equipment, piping systems, propulsion system, electrical systems and navigation systems.  Knowledge of international ship building standards  Knowledge of relevant Engineering tools and IT systems  Knowledge of relevant tools and systems and other computer skills
