Assist customers identify and purchase products they desire. Retail assistant duties include selling, restocking and marketing of goods in store. The goal is to provide and maintain a high level of customer service and to increase company's growth and revenue through sales maximisation.
Be involved in stock control and management.
Assist in the weekly/monthly/quarterly and annual stock stake and internal audits.
Assisting customers to find the goods and products they are looking for.
Being responsible for processing cash and card payments.
Stocking and restocking shelves with products.
Dealing with customer queries and complaints.
Reporting discrepancies and problems to the Retail Supervisor.
Balancing cash registers with receipts and ensure petty cash on the register is properly reconciled.
Dealing with customer refunds and returns.
Keeping the store tidy and clean.
Working within established guidelines, particularly with brands where necessary
Responsible for security within the store and being on the look out for shoplifters and fraudulent activities
Receiving and storing the delivery of large amounts of stock
Keeping up to date with special promotions and putting up displays.
