What is a AC Technician?

A AC Technician is a person who repairs and maintains air conditioning equipment. He or she may also be called upon to diagnose problems with the system.

What qualifications are required to become a AC Technician?

1. A high school diploma or equivalent is required to become a AC Technician.

2. Experience in repairing and maintaining air conditioning systems is typically needed for success as an AC Technician.

3. Excellent math skills are necessary due to the complex calculations involved in servicing and troubleshooting air conditioning units.

4. Strong communication and problem-solving abilities are essential, since working with other technicians and customers often requires interaction on a daily basis。 ・ 5 . Certification from one of the national certification bodies such as National Air Conditioning Contractors Association (NACCA) or American Society of Heating, Refrigeration & Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) can be helpful in securing higher paying jobs。
