JOB TITLE: Accountant JOB DESCRIPTION: Managing accounts for vehicle operations. Performs and oversee receivable, payable, vehicles profitability review and contract pricing review. Submits regularly financial reports and as required by Vehicles Operations Manager. MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Payables – Vehicle Insurance, Tire Purchases, Repair and Maintenance. Review vendor invoices for price inconsistencies, duplicate charges, and purchase frequency. Communicate all discrepancies to Admin Specialist and Operations Supervisor for verification and to coordinate with Supplier for correction of invoices. Allocate expense to project and enter expenses in GP. Monthly reconciliation of vendor statement of account. Receivable –Prepare summary of billable charges- Fines, Salik, damages, and other charges. Prepare invoices and send invoices to client. Follow up for any outstanding charges. Prepare receipts for credit card and cash collection. Send details to head office for update on statement of account and payment details. Add new contracts and update status of old contract in the Sales Control Sheet. Prepare sales forecast when required. Petty Cash – review petty cash expense settlement prepared by Admin Specialist, allocate to project, and enter expense in GP. Conduct cash count on monthly basis. Monthly profitability review and reconciliation. Prepare profit and loss for each vehicle on sale. Maintain record/summary of all P/L for each vehicle. Review vehicle quotes when required. Fines and Salik – Download fines and Salik daily. Monthly accrual of fines and coordinating with PRO on payment after the traffic fine invoices were sent to client. Submit allocation of Salik to each project, department, and staff. EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role from vehicle rental and leasing company. With a progressive finance and accounting experience and in the preparation of financial statements. EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS: A BA/BS degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Management, A CPA or equivalent preferred. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & COMPETENCIES: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Knowledge of computer accounting software particularly GP and Gateway.
