A Accounts Assistant is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing and filing tax returns, creating budgets and planning expenditures, issuing invoices and coordinating with other departments within an organization.
1. Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail and strong communication ability are essential for success in this position.
2. Previous experience working with accounts or accounting software is beneficial but not required.
3. A good understanding of financial terminology and concepts is also necessary as Accounts Assistant duties may include preparing reports and presentations on behalf of the business owner or manager.
4.. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively is important, since Accounts Assistants will be responsible for a variety of tasks throughout the day including data entry, filing, answering phone queries etc…
