A welder is a person who uses welding equipment to join metal pieces together. Aluminium welders use arc welding, which is one of the most common types of Welding.
A welder must have a high school diploma or equivalent, be able to read and follow written instructions, have good hand-eye coordination and work well under pressure. Some other qualifications that may be required are certification from the American Welding Society (AWS), membership in a welding union or apprenticeship program.
1. Must have a valid welding certificate
2. Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
3. Knowledge of Arc Welding, MIG welder capabilities and settings
4. Strong work ethic and attention to detail
5. Ability to read blueprints or schematics
