The Assistant Sales Manager is a position in sales management that assists the Sales Manager. The Assistant Sales Manager may be responsible for tasks such as developing and executing sales plans, tracking and forecasting sales results, coordinating with other departments within the company to promote customer acquisition efforts, managing customer relationships, and more.
1. A college degree in sales, marketing or business administration is generally required for assistant manager positions. However, some companies may hire managers without a traditional four-year degree program.
2. Previous experience as a sales representative or customer service professional is beneficial and typically taken into account when hiring an assistant manager position.
