What qualifications are required to become a Auto/Car Mechanic?

1. A certification from a professional organization such as the National Automobile Dealers Association (NADA) or American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME).

2. At least 2 years experience repairing and/or working on cars, trucks, motorcycles, and other vehicles.

3. Excellent mechanical skills including knowledge of engines, transmissions, brakes etc..

4. Strong problem-solving abilities and stamina to work long hours in demanding environments with delicate equipment .

5. Ability to read and understand technical manuals regarding car repair
