What is a Auto/Car Mechanic?

A car mechanic is a person who repairs and maintains cars. They may do things like change oil, check fluids, and replace parts.

What qualifications are required to become a Auto/Car Mechanic?

1. A person must have a high school diploma or equivalent.

2. Must be able to read and understand technical manuals and repair instructions.

3. Have good mechanical aptitude, troubleshooting skills, common sense, and precision tools knowledge (ie: torx drivers).

4. Be proficient in basic computer diagnostics such as checking OBDII codes, reading system messages etc..

5. Excellent communication skills both verbal and written are essential for working with customers

What are the skills required to become a Auto/Car Mechanic?

1. Must be able to read and understand diagrams or schematics of automotive parts

2. Must have good problem solving skills, as well as the ability to diagnose problems with vehicles
