A Automobile Electrician is someone who specializes in working on cars that have electric components. These include things like batteries, motors, and chargers. They often work alongside mechanics to keep all the electrical systems functioning properly.
A. A high school diploma or equivalent
B. Some experience working with electrical wiring and tools
C. Certification from an accredited automotive electrician school, such as the National Automotive Technicians Education Foundation (NATEF) certification program
D. Strong work ethic and attention to detail
E. Ability to think on their feet
1. Knowledge of electrical systems in automobiles
2. Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams
3. Experience working with automotive batteries and charging systems
4. Understanding of car mechanics, including maintenance schedules and procedures for common automobile parts
5. Working knowledge of the tools necessary for auto electrician work
