An automobile electrician is a tradesman who installs and repairs electrical systems in cars. They may also work on other vehicle components such as headlights, taillights, radios, air conditioning units and more. Automobile electricians need to have extensive knowledge of car wiring systems so they can diagnose problems quickly and get them fixed properly.
1. A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
2. Experience in repairing and/or installing electrical systems on automobiles is desirable but not mandatory.
3.. Knowledge of automotive wiring harnesses, connectors, and related components is essential for the Automobile Electrician position.
4.. Ability to read schematics and diagrams confidently is also important as many automobile electric systems are based upon intricate circuitry designs that can be difficult to decipher without proper training & experience .5 Finally, a good working knowledge of basic electricity principles (volts, amperes etc.) will be helpful when troubleshooting issues with an automobile's electrical system
