What is a Mason

A Mason (General) is a member of the Freemasons fraternity who has attained the rank of Master Mason. As such, Masons are considered to be experts in many different fields and often serve as leaders within their communities.

What qualifications are required to become a Mason

1. Must be at least 18 years of age

2. Should have a good moral character

3. Must believe in God and the existence of a Supreme Being

4. Be able to read, write, and speak English fluently

5. Have been accepted by a Mason Lodge

What are the skills required to become a Mason

1. Knowledge of the history and philosophy of Masonry.

2. Excellent communication and organizational skills.

3. Strong problem solving ability, particularly in complex situations or with multiple stakeholders involved.

4. Technical proficiency in masonry tools and methods such as chisels, saws, drills etc., including experience working with construction materials like stone, brick or concrete* .
