What are the skills required to become a Pipe Fitter?

-Basic knowledge of pipe construction and installation

-Ability to read and interpret blueprints or schematics

-Good manual dexterity in using hand tools, such as a wrench, saws, chisels etc.

-Experience working with pneumatics (piston) machines used for cutting metal pipes

-Knowledge of industrial welding processes including MIG/MAG welding and gas tungsten arc Welding (GTAW)
