A Accounts Admin is responsible for the overall administration of an organization's accounting systems. This might include overseeing budgeting and financial planning, creating reports, filling out tax forms, and more. The Accounts Admin typically has a comprehensive knowledge of all aspects of accounting software as well as strong computer skills.
To be a successful Accounts Admin, you will need excellent organizational skills, attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate records. Additionally, you must have experience working with computers and databases.
1. Ability to manage and maintain accurate financial records.
2. Strong organizational skills, including the ability to stay on top of multiple tasks at once.
3. Experience working with Microsoft Excel or other spreadsheet software is a plus.
4. Knowledgeable about banking and accounting procedures relevant to small businesses, such as QuickBooks proficiency (or equivalent).
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are necessary for interacting with clients, co-workers, vendors and others in an administrative role
