A Accounts Assistant is a position in accounting that assists with various tasks within an organization, such as bookkeeping and preparing financial reports. They may also assist with customer service duties or perform other administrative functions.
1. Experience in accounting and bookkeeping is required.
2. Excellent customer service skills are a must, as Accounts Assistants work with clients daily.
3. Computer literacy is essential for an Accounts Assistant, as they will be working on computers frequently throughout their career path.

To receive invoices, expense claims, contracts, and related documentation, check for accuracy and alignment with contractual terms or approvals. Match invoices with goods received notes, purchase orders, and purchase requisitions. Proper control in Input and output VAT and making necessary adjustment entries for filing To prepare the detail of invoices and payment vouchers for inventory suppliers and after approval from the managing director to prepare cheques. To prepare payment vouchers and cheques for other payments including rent, utilities, and other services provided by suppliers. Make sure all the accounts are closed every month. Process payroll on a monthly basis and check for accuracy before transmittal to payroll service(WPS) Prepare and monitor cash and bank position for day-to-day requirements. Preparation of bank reconciliation on a weekly basis and suppliers account reconciliation on a monthly basis and take prompt action for the differences arising. To visit the branches for monthly stock taking and updating inventory in Peach tree. To maintain and update fixed assets register. Other duties assigned from time to time based on requirements by seniors.
