What is a Tig & Arc Welder?

A Tig & Arc Welder is a machine used for welding metal. It has two electrodes that are placed against the piece to be welded and an arc is created between them, melting the metal at the spot where they meet.

What qualifications are required to become a Tig & Arc Welder?

1. A good understanding of arc welding and Tig welder technology is essential for success as a tig & arc welder. However, other skills such as mechanical ability and tool handling are also necessary to be successful in this profession.

2. Certification from an accredited certification organization such as the American Welding Society (AWS) or National Association of Metal Finishers (NAMF) can prove that the applicant has the requisite knowledge and skill set required for this career field.

3. Previous experience working with welders on large projects may be helpful prior to attempting a career in tig & arc welding, though no specific qualifications are needed beyond basic manual dexterity and problem solving abilities.

What are the skills required to become a Tig & Arc Welder?

1. Knowledge of welding principles and equipment.

2. Good hand-eye coordination and strong work ethic.

3. Ability to read blueprints or drawings accurately and interpret them correctly for Welding purposes.

4. Must be able to operate a Tig Welder safely with minimal supervision, using the correct settings for the type of material being welded (i .e., gas tig vs MIG).

5 . Must have experience performing repair/rebuilding on vehicles
