What qualifications are required to become a Tig & Arc Welder?

1. Some formal welding education is usually required, but not always.

2. There are many different ways to become a welder, and the most important qualification is passion for the trade!

3. Experience in welding is helpful, but isn't always necessary; some welders get their start as apprentices or journeymen.

4. Tig & Arc Welders need good hand-eye coordination and be able to work fast with little supervision; they must also have strong metalworking skills and knowledge of arc technology (the process used to create welds).
