What is a Tig & Arc Welder?

A Tig & Arc Welder is a machine that uses arc welding to join metals. It has two electrodes, one connected to the tig wire and the other attached to an arc welder gun. The tig electrode melts small pieces of metal off the work piece while the arc welds these pieces together.

What qualifications are required to become a Tig & Arc Welder?

1. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, and a valid welding certification is preferred.

2. Good hand-eye coordination and good sense of balance are essential for this profession since most tig welding takes place while standing or kneeling.

3. Most Tig & Arc Welder jobs require you to be able to work in close quarters with other welders, so good communication skills are important as well as the ability to lift heavy objects frequently required for many positions within the trade union industry (e.g., forklifts).

4 TIG Welding often uses heat generated by an arc welder's electric sparkler rather than flames from a propane torch like MIG Welding does; therefore being comfortable working around hot metal surfaces is also necessary for many Tig & Arc Welder professions including but not limited to: pipefitters, structural ironworkers etc...This can make skinning/bumping into hot parts commonplace which may include exposure to intense radiant heat depending on your position!
