1. Recruit through an organisation or law firm that you know is hiring: there may be more opportunities if the organisation or law firm is actively looking to expand its legal team.
2. Use online job boards and databases like Indeed, LegalJobs, and TheLadders: these can help you find candidates who have experience in your desired area of practice, as well as those with a diverse range of skillsets which could complement yours on your team.
3. Meet potential candidates in person: this can be helpful not only for assessing their qualifications but also gauging whether they would fit into the culture and work environment at your company (and potentially start out on a lower salary).
4. Consider offering relocation assistance/a stipend/paid time off during interviews: many talented individuals are willing to relocate for the right opportunity; therefore it may behoove you to make such accommodations possible should someone be hired onto your team!
5. Be open-minded when reviewing resumes – no one’s resume is guaranteed gold simply because they worked at a certain organization or practiced specific law areas within them

The process of hiring a legal staff from overseas can be complex and time-consuming, but it has many benefits for your business. Here are some tips to help you get started:
I. Familiarize yourself with the visa requirements of the country in which you want to hire a legal staff member. Each country has different rules about who is eligible to work on a temporary or permanent basis there, so make sure that you understand them before making an offer.
II. Research reputable law firms in the desired location and find out what type of experience their current lawyers have working with clients outside of their home countries (e.g., litigation, corporate). Make sure that your chosen candidate will be able to handle similar projects successfully if hired by your company.
III . Once you have identified a few candidates whom meet all of your criteria, create an interview schedule tailored specifically for each potential employee and ask questions related both to his/her skillset and previous experiences working abroad.(note: do not hesitate to contact us should you need any assistance conducting these interviews)
IV . After interviewing each candidate thoroughly, decide on one person whom you would like contractually obligated as soon as possible (~10 days). This individual should then apply for appropriate visas through the relevant embassy or consulate; once they receive approval from authorities in their respective country(s), they will relocate permanently OR alternatively may come down initially only long enought o complete specific project milestones before returning home later on)(this option might be more preferable depending upon employer’s needs – e g.: providing interim support while awaiting green card / citizenship decision etc.).
