There are a few things you will need to consider when hiring an executive for your back office or data entry department from overseas:
1) The culture of the company - Be sure to ask about the corporate culture and what types of values are upheld in order to avoid cultural clashes down the line. It is also important to know how long it might take for new employees to assimilate into their new workplace, as well as any mandatory language training that may be required.
2) Availability - Ensure that potential candidates have availability immediately and can start work within a week or two of being hired. This allows you not only get started on your project right away, butalso gives you time insight into whether this individual would fit well with your company’s ethos and way of working before making a commitment.
3) Salary expectations – Determine upfront what salary range is acceptable based on experience level, nationality/ethnicity, education levels etcetera. Do not hesitate to negotiate if necessary in order overpaying someone who isn't culturally compatible or won't meet all aspects of job requirements (ease-of-workability tests come readily handy here!). Bear in mind too that paying above market rates could lead agencies outsource these roles elsewhere more easily should they become available again sooner rather than later!
