1. Use online resources such as Indeed or The job listing site, Chef Jobs .
2. Attend culinary festivals and meet-ups in your area to get a sense of the best chefs in town and see if they would be a good fit for your restaurant.
3. Ask friends who own restaurants what their experience was with hiring chefs from outside of the region (e.g., Italy, Spain).
4. Meet potential candidates at professional cooking events or trade shows that focus on foodservice professionals (such as Restaurant Management Conference Scandinavia ). There you can ask them questions about their culinary skillset, working conditions in kitchens abroad, etc.—this will give you an idea of whether they’d be a good fit for your restaurant culture and team dynamics/work hours are compatible with yours(!).
5.(Optional)Once you have narrowed down your list of candidates by either attending interviews or conducting research on those whom you interviewed through inquiry letters/phone calls /etc., reach out to each candidate individually via phone call /email interview request specifying what type of position he is interested in – Executive Chef , Sous Chef , Kitchen Manager etc.–and let him know how excited the restaurant is about his candidacy!

Hiring a chef from overseas can be a daunting task, but it is not impossible. There are several things you need to take into account when searching for the right chef:
-Your budget: A high priced chef will likely provide better quality food than someone who is lowerpriced, however they may not have the same level of experience or training. It’s important to find someone with whom you can work within your budget constraints while still receiving top notch service.
-The type of cuisine you require: If you are looking for an Italian cook, for example, then scouting out chefs based in Italy might be your best bet. However if all that you want is somethingAsian themed (like Thai food), hiring a native Chinese Chef may do the trick since many restaurants here specialize in this genre of cooking.
-Location and availability : Obviously choosing a location close to where your event will take place comes first; secondly consider whether or not there any talented chefs living nearby who would be willing to come offer their services remotely (or even travel). Be sure also inquire about meal costs associated with each option – some chefs charge extra per dish regardless of quantity served so make sure that price point works well with what else your needs entail!
